Wand
Some people prefer to swipe on mascara as the very final step of their routine following foundation and concealer, but others prefer to apply foundation afterward so they can easily clean up eyeshadow fallout and any mascara smudges. Experiment with both, then do what works best for you. Best no flake mascara I ran out of the mascara I had been using and mildly liking and didn’t have time to go to store, so I used the only other mascara that I had. This Emma Cosmetics mascara was AMAZING. I was shocked. I kept looking at the wand like it was magic. Like…how did it work so well? It fans my eyelashes out, it adds body, and it ALSO DOESN’T SMEAR, FLAKE OR SMUDGE AT ALL!!!! Like the ENTIRE DAY!!! It seems like such a small problem, but it felt really big because I didn’t want people (or myself!) to see dark circles of makeup under my eyes. It’s such a relief!!!

What’s so unique about Limitless Lash Mascara is the dual-sided brush. You use the shorter side to curl and create volume, then the longer bristles to lift, lengthen and separate lashes. I like that it’s seriously buildable without clumps and you can almost make it what you want. For example, when I want separation and length for a more natural look, I just apply a few coats using the longer side. For more volume, I just layer and layer the other side. 2. If you’re struggling with short thin or straight lashes, you’ll want something to deliver volume and lift. For this, Burt recommends a waterproof mascara and preferably one with a cleverly contoured brush. “Lash building layers for OTT volume? Use a naturally glossy lash fattening mascara in jet black.” she says.   Before applying mascara, you can also use an eyelash curler to open up the eye. “Set a natural lash curl by starting from the base of the lashes and working to the tips,” she says. “For short straight lashes, hold the eyelash curler under a hair dryer briefly to heat and gently clamp the curler shut for a few seconds on lashes at the base as they cool.” W3ll People Expressionist Mascara ($19) The mascara wand makes a world of difference in getting your dream lashes (see how below), which is why MC's Contributing Morning Editor, Iris Goldsztajn loves Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara. "I’ve tried dozens of mascaras, but I always come back to Benefit’s Roller Lash," she says.  "I love the brush’s two modes/sides—one curls the lashes and one adds length, all with very little clumping." The Roller Lash brush features tiny custom-designed hooks to catch, lift, and curl every lash.

Cannot recommend this lady enough!! Steph did 3 wedding makeups (including the bride) for 3 very different people and she nailed it. Nothing was too much trouble. If there was something we were unsure of, she worked on it until it was right. Such a lovely person and super professional. Was a real treat on the day and we look forward to seeing you again soon
